Vegan Recipes : Millet Au Gratin
Serves 4
Using the previous recipe Savoury Millet, the mixture can also be used to make Millet Au Gratin by making a basic sauce as follows and then by stirring in the millet mixture. Slice tomatoes and pop in oven or under the grill to brown top.
Ingredients
- 25g Vegan Margarine
- 25g Flour [preferably wholemeal]
- 1pt/568ml Unsweetened Soya Milk
Method
- Melt the remaining margarine in a saucepan.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in the milk, herbs, lemon rind and juice, bring to the boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Pour it over the vegetables and stir well.
- Season.
- Pop under grill for a few minutes and serve hot.
