Vegan Recipes : Baked Bananas
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 4 large Bananas
- 1oz/25g Dates, chopped
- 1oz/25g Toasted flaked almonds
- Rind and Juice 1 orange
- Golden Syrup to serve
Method
- Set oven to 180C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
- Grease a 2 pint (1 litre) ovenproof dish.
- Chop the bananas into chunky pieces and put into the dish with the dates, orange juice and rind. Mix.
- Sprinkle almonds on top, cover with foil and bake for 20 mins until the bananas are soft and cooked.
- Serve immediately with warm golden syrup or chocolate sauce.
Note: Not suitable for freezing.
